BARBARESCO DOCG

is one of Italy’s most beloved wines.

Made with only Nebbiolo grapes grown in Piedmont, Barbaresco allows the true character of this extraordinary landscape to sing in every sip. This wine begs to be opened in the best of company, however you may define that.

With its elegant, yet structured character that is supported by fine tannins, this red wine offers sensuous notes of dried flowers and spices. Though Barbaresco ages excellently over the years, we suspect you won’t want to wait to enjoy it. When that moment comes, we recommend pairings that enhance the earthy essence of this wine, such as a simple mushroom pasta or a sumptuous truffle risotto.

HARVEST

The harvest of Nebbiolo grapes for our Barbaresco takes place in early October. With respect for tradition and quality, each grape is carefully hand-harvested in the morning and arrives at the winery to be pressed just a few hours later.

VINIFICATION

After destemming and crushing, the must is transferred to temperature-controlled vertical fermenters. Maceration lasts 25 - 30 days and allows the extraction of Nebbiolo’s characteristic color, aromas, tannins, and structure. After this process, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, which softens its natural acidity and contributes greater complexity and balance.

AGING

After the crush, our Barbaresco is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for around two years. This slow process gives the wine its signature silkiness and complexity.
